Chapter 11
Jake was at home, he just came back from visiting his friend Laura.
She have cancer and just living on borrowed time, she's one of the girls that wanted Jake then, but Jake turned her down, actually she came before Vanessa on that day but when Jake turned her down she left with no threats. When Jake heard she have cancer, he felt sorry and have been visiting her since then and not once have he seen anybody from their school visit her.
Jake heard a knock on the door, he bolted to the door, thinking it might be a surprise visit from Rose but to his utter disappointment it's Vanessa.
"What?" he barks out
"Well won't you invite me in first" she said with a smug.
"The last I did that I was labelled a rapist after two hours" he reminds her.
"Well am here to fix it" she said
"If you want to fix it go tell my brother the truth and the whole world not me" he responded.
"Well I have a better plan, how about you finally accept me and I will make people over look it as a teenage boy that made a mistake out of love" she says shyly.
Jake laughs loudly, "teenage mistake?, you're a ruthless girl, then what happens to my brother if I accept it?" he asked just to be sure.
"Well I will tell him that you and I have always love each other, that I have fallen out of love with him" she said.
"Fallen out?, you were never in love with him you wicked bit***" he said out of anger but before Vanessa could say anymore he shut the door to her face and ignored her loud knock. Vanessa noticing she's drawing attention, she have to give up and leave.
Rose was in her room preparing for her birthday today she have added one more year to her life and much have changed in her life since she move in here, she met Jake the love of her life, Cara, her best friend and Matt. Matt and Cara are now dating officially and their idea of date can make the world jealous.
Several months have passed since she started dating Jake and she never for once regretted meeting him, she even for once tried to go beg his family for forgiveness, but they turned her down and Jake was furious that she did it cause to Jake it's not his fault but his parents who are too blind and couldn't trust their child but after two day of being mad at Rose, he forgave her cause he can't stay mad at such a beautiful girl that long.
Knock knock, Rose turned her head to see her friend standing at the door looking at her in aw.
"Jake definitely won't be able to keep his hands off you tonight" Cara said
"What" Rose asked
"You looked fantastic" Cara squealed.
"Nice courage" she said laughing
"So" Cara said sitting beside Rose on her bed "do you regret dating him" she asked.
"No, not even one bit, he has unveiled his whole life to me, both the good and the bad I just keep on loving him" Rose finished.
"Yeah, I know the feeling" Cara said thinking about Matt. "I better take the birthday girl down before Jake gets furious".
They both laughed and head downstairs. On seeing Rose, Jake lost every matter of reasoning, he was star strucked their love have all the sparks and electricity, energy defined.
"You look amazing" Jake said as he walks up to her.
"Thanks" she replies shyly.
After everyone sang her a birthday song, she closed her eyes and made a wish and cut down the cake. Matt gulp down down his share at once, which earned him a stare from Cara. Rose felt so happy for she never had this before, normally it's always her mom and dad, now she has Cara, Matt and Jake and she couldn't asked for anything more.
As everybody was busy, Jake leaned close to Rose.
"What was your birthday wish" he whispers to her ear as he sniffs Rose scent.
"It's not meant to be said out" she said feeling hot cause of Jake closeness.
"That's why am whispering" the tip of his nose touched her neck sending chills down her spines that she have to curl her toes.
"Come on, am waiting" he urges.
So Rose have no other option that to spill, cause she have no idea how long she can keep herself from melting.
"I wish that in the next ten years, I will have a happy family wishing me a good birthday" she said breathlessly
Jake smiles,held her hand and looked into her eyes.
"I am not the star in the heavens or the shooting star people wish upon, heck am no longer the star of our school but I promise to always be your star and make your wish come true".
She smiles and feel all giddy
"We then have to wait for ten years",
"Yes we do, don't we" he said.
"Matt drop that cake", Mr Nelson yelled and they all laughed.
